Da Hsuan Feng

Chair of the International Advisory Council, is currently the Honorary Dean of Hainan University Belt and Road Research Institute and the Chief Advisor of China Silk Road iValley Research Institute. He grew up in Singapore and received his physics PhD from the University of Minnesota (1972). He was the M Russell Wehr Chair Professor of Drexel University. He also served as the United States National Science Foundation Program Director in Theoretical Physics for two years. Since 2002, Feng has taken roles as the Vice President for Research at the University of Texas at Dallas, the Senior Vice President of National Cheng Kung University, National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan, and Special Advisor to the Rector and Director of Global Strategies of Macau University.

Feng is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and honorary professor of fifteen Chinese universities which included Peking Union Medical College, Fudan University, Jilin University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Applied Physics. Feng was the 2009 Bian-Zhong laureate for individuals with outstanding contributions to Hubei Province (2009 年度湖北省编钟奖). He is also the 2017 recipient of the “The Light of Civilization, the 2017 Chinese Cultural Exchange Award 文明之光·2017 中国文化交流年度人物.”

Feng was an honorary Board of Trustee of Nanjing University, a member of the Board of Trustees of Shantou University (2006–2015) and a member of the Academic Advisory Board of Universiti Teknologi Petronas of Malaysia and Binus University of Indonesia. Feng is also a frequent author or co-author of editorials of major newspaper in East Asia, in Chinese and English. This includes China’s China Daily, Global Times, UK’s Financial Times Chinese Edition, and South China Morning Post of HK, Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao of Singapore. He is the author of two books, Edu-Renaissance: Notes from a Globetrotting Higher Educator, and Belt and Road Initiative: Chinese Version of “Marshall Plan”?, both published by Singapore’s World Scientific Publication Corporation.

Bing Xie

Bing Xie is a Senior Global Business Executive with a successful track record in digital transformation, global revenue growth strategy, P&L management, sales skills and operational excellence/return on investment. He is valued for his international perspective and understanding of cultural differences in growing global businesses, as he has lived and worked in China, Italy, the U.S. and Canada. He is bilingual in English and Chinese.

Bing has extensive Board experience, serving as a Member of the Board of Directors for Huami Corporation (NYSE: HMI) and the Greenhill School in Addison, TX, as well as an Adviser to the College of Engineering at the University of North Texas and the Center for Asian Studies at the University of Texas at Dallas. He is an angel investor in high-tech sector. Before his retirement end of 2020, he was Senior Vice President/Executive Officer for Texas Instruments Inc. (TI), overseeing global Sales and Application teams and $14+ billion in sales revenue. He had been President/General Manager, TI Greater China ( China, Taiwan and Hong Kong). Earlier in his career, Bing held positions of increasing responsibility with 3Com Corp., Bay Networks and Hewlett-Packard.

Bing earned a Master of Business Administration at Clemson University in South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering at Xidian University in Xi’an, Shaanxi, China. Bing and his wife, Jane, have two teenaged sons, Ryan and Harris. When not working, he enjoys swimming, reading, kayaking and skiing. His lives by a motto borrowed from Mahatma Gandhi: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”

Steve Chen

Steve Chen is the President of C&S Trading and the Chairman of US-China Chamber of Commerce – Dallas. He graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China and was a professional trumpet concert performer. He moved to Dallas in 1992 and started his own business in manufacture, import/export and commercial real estate since 1997. He received Honorary Citizen of Dallas in 2002 as a successful businessman. In 2010-2019, he served in the Board of Directors in ECLAT foundation, an education charity organization which has aided thousands of children from the poor families in mainland China, Taiwan and the United States to get school education. Steve is an active sponsor and leader of local community events. He also serves as a committee member for The Crow Museum of Asian Art and The Leadership Circle Committee for State House Representatives Angie Chen Button.
